Dr. Daniel P. Giangrasso graduated from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2015. He completed his internship at South Nassau Communities Hospital, and residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Rusk Institute at New York University Medical Center. Dr. Giangrasso then pursued subspecialty training in interventional pain management and completed a fellowship at Hudson Medical. Dr. Giangrasso joined New York Spine Specialist in 2020.
Dr. Giangrasso has a passion for treating both acute and chronic pain complaints including low back pain, neck pain, joint pain, headaches, diabetic nerve pain, neuropathic pain, and complex regional pain syndrome. This is accomplished with a multifaceted approach, including physical therapies, medications, behavioral therapy, and interventional procedures. Dr Giangrasso has a passion for achieving high level results along with teaching patients how to be involved in their care in helping to reduce pain and improve mobility and function. He is focused on the most modern and most optimal pain management regimens for his patients. He can perform the following procedures: trigger point injections, peripheral joint injections, nerve blocks, botulinum toxin chemodenervation, and spinal procedures including epidural injections, rhizotomies, and spinal cord stimulation.
Dr. Giangrasso has dedicated his medical career to improving the health and lives of others. He is an expert diagnostician focused on having his patients return to the activities they love using non-surgical and cutting edge therapies. A thorough evaluation of each patient’s unique symptoms and conditions leads him to the most successful and comprehensive treatment plan. He treats sports injuries, accidents, and pain associated with everyday life. He serves patients at his medical office locations in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Bronx and Queens, New York as well as the Jersey City Office.
Although Dr. Giangrasso is a recognized expert in spinal interventions, he is skilled in all aspects of pain management, including headaches, musculoskeletal and spine pain, complex regional pain syndrome.
